Wherever you may be on the education spectrum, Solid Rock Educators’ Books and Supplies is here to help you with all of your educational needs. Whether that need is for a full curriculum, learning manipulatives, or just some helpful information to get you started in the right direction, we are here for you! Solid Rock Books will be hosting an Intro to Homeschooling meeting on the 1st Monday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m./! There is a $20 fee per family to cover administrave costs which will include the info packet/book you will receive at the meeting. How do I register to home school in
Can we still receive special education services for a home schooled child? In certain instances, your child may be eligible to receive special education services while he/she is being home schooled. For more information on special education services for home schooled students in Rutherford County, TN, please contact the Rutherford County Special Education Department at 615-893-5815 ext. 22035. You can also visit www.nathhan.com - a Christian, non-profit organization dedicated to providing encouragement and resources to families with special needs children who are home schooling.
Will my high school senior receive a diploma if he/she is home schooled? For high school seniors home schooling in Rutherford County, TN, you will not get a high school diploma from the Rutherford County Public School System. If you are enrolled in a satellite or online school, you need to contact that school to see what is issued after completing their program. Independent home school students should check with Adult Education at 615-904-3876 for GED testing. You may want to look into these options before starting your senior year, as the GED test can only be taken at 18 years or older (17 years under special circumstances).

Also, we are now administering both Stanford and Iowa Standard Testing. Private or group (5 maximum) testing is now available at our new location.
